Our Client is a global leader in the automotive and rubber industry, renowned for delivering high-quality products and innovative mobility solutions. The company operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the West Pomeranian region, which is considered one of the most modern plants in its global portfolio.


The organisation is currently undergoing a significant digital transformation, focusing on the convergence of IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology). They are seeking a visionary leader to oversee the technological infrastructure of the plant, drive the adoption of Industry 4.0 solutions (IoT, AI, Big Data), and ensure the highest standards of cybersecurity (including TISAX). This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the digital strategy of a massive production environment, working within an international structure to implement cloud strategies and sustainable data centre management.

Resposibilities
  • Strategic Partnership & Digitalisation: Act as a primary business partner to plant operations and central IT departments. Identify, define, and implement technological solutions that address operational challenges and drive the full digitalisation of production processes.

  • IT/OT Convergence: Oversee the integration of Information Technology with Operational Technology systems to ensure operational continuity and the successful delivery of local innovation projects.

  • Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain IT/OT infrastructure to guarantee reliability and safety. Supervise the local data centre with a strong focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.

  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Collaborate with the regional cybersecurity team to enforce information security policies. Ensure all plant systems and processes comply with corporate standards and industry certifications, such as TISAX recertification.

  • Application & Cloud Strategy: Modernise and simplify the local application portfolio. Drive the implementation of core solutions and define the strategy for migration to cloud environments.

  • Agile Leadership: Foster a culture of modern software development within the team, utilising methodologies such as Design Thinking, Agile Project Management, and CI/CD practices.

  • Network Administration: Manage and develop the internal plant network in coordination with the regional IT Network team and external partners.

  • Financial Management: Define and control the plant’s IT budget, ensuring alignment of operational costs and capital investments with broader IT strategies.

  • Team Development: Lead and mentor the IT team, conducting performance reviews, managing talent pipelines, and creating succession plans to achieve operational excellence.

Requirments
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing IT solutions and managing complex, critical environments (on-premise and cloud). A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role is required.

  • Industry Knowledge (IT/OT): Strong background in the intersection of IT and OT, including experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and production contexts.

  • Technological Expertise: Proven experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, Big Data, Advanced Analytics, AI/ML, Robotics, Edge Computing, and Microservices architecture.

  • Infrastructure Skills: Proficiency in virtualisation platforms (specifically VMWare) and experience in executing cloud migration strategies.

  • Agile Mindset: Experience working in Agile environments (as a team member or Product Owner) and holding certifications in traditional or Agile software development methodologies is highly desirable.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional management capabilities with a focus on team building and knowledge sharing. Ability to demonstrate flexibility and resilience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

  • Language: Fluent proficiency in English (C1/C2) is mandatory for daily communication within the global structure.

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel for business purposes as required
