Our Client is a globally renowned technology and manufacturing leader specializing in advanced components and system solutions for electrical and optical connectivity. Operating at the intersection of Radio Frequency, Fiber Optics, and Low Frequency technologies, their innovative solutions are critical in the Communication, Transportation, and Industrial sectors, including specialized areas like aerospace, defense, and EV charging infrastructure.
The role is situated within a critical IT department responsible for maintaining and enhancing the core business applications that support the Client’s complex global supply chain, which includes a focus on discrete manufacturing (Mill solutions). You will be joining an international team dedicated to continuous improvement and operational excellence, supporting mission-critical processes within the SAP Supply Chain Management – Advanced Planning and Optimization (SCM-APO) module. This is a chance to leverage hands-on technical skills to ensure system stability, data integrity, and process efficiency within a global, highly integrated SAP landscape.
Resposibilities
The primary focus of this role is to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the SAP SCM-APO environment, with a strong emphasis on operational support and problem resolution.
Serve as a dedicated specialist for the implementation, operation, and ongoing technical support (2nd/3rd line) of core SAP SCM-APO processes (Demand Planning - DP, Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling - PP/DS, Global ATP).
Proactively monitor and manage the SAP SCM-APO system landscape, including performance, system aborts, and integrity checks related to queues and process chains (e.g., heuristics).
Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex technical incidents and problems related to data exchange and integration, particularly concerning the Core Interface (CIF) between SAP ECC and SAP SCM-APO.
Manage and maintain critical integration models and master data objects (Locations, Products, Resources, Planning Versions) to ensure seamless data flow and process alignment.
Provide technical expertise for custom-specific applications and business transactions within SCM-APO, ensuring their functionality and compliance with system standards.
Actively participate in the Agile/ITIL framework (incident, problem, and change management) to drive effective problem-solving and implement system modifications and enhancements (kustomizacja).
Collaborate with IT Requirements Engineers and business stakeholders to design, plan, and implement major changes and system upgrades within SCM-APO.
Coordinate and oversee activities of external service providers related to SCM-APO changes, support, and projects.
Ensure process knowledge transfer and maintain up-to-date system documentation, leveraging tools like SAP Solution Manager.
Requirments
This position requires a deep, hands-on technical understanding of the SAP SCM-APO module and a strong focus on technical operations and problem-solving rather than pure project management.
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in an Application Management Services (AMS) or IT Support role (2nd/3rd line), specifically focused on SAP SCM-APO.
Profound hands-on technical expertise in SAP SCM-APO components:
Demand Planning (DP) and the release process to PP/DS.
Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS), including knowledge of production planning mechanics (heuristics).
Global ATP (Available-to-Promise).
Core Interface (CIF) – crucial experience in troubleshooting data exchange issues, process chains, and managing CIF queues.Solid understanding of ITIL methodology and experience working within an Agile team environment.
Proven ability to work independently on problem resolution, analyze system malfunctions, and implement technical fixes.
Working knowledge of standard SAP ERP modules, specifically Sales & Distribution (SD) and Production Planning (PP), is highly desirable.
Experience with modeling and documenting business processes, ideally using SAP Solution Manager.
Familiarity with the SAP Industry Solution Mill or variant configuration is considered a significant advantage, but not mandatory.
High level of independence, strong team collaboration skills, and a strong sense of quality and responsibility.
