We are currently looking for a skilled professional to join their team in a crucial project focusing on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This role involves working on innovative solutions that enhance and extend core SAP functionalities, contributing directly to the digital evolution of their clients' business processes.
Resposibilities
As an SAP BTP Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
Designing and developing custom applications and extensions on the SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), utilising services like SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming model) and SAP UI5/Fiori.
Integrating SAP BTP solutions with core SAP systems (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC) and other third-party systems using various integration technologies (e.g., SAP Integration Suite, APIs).
Translating business requirements into technical specifications and viable, scalable solutions within the SAP BTP environment.
Implementing and maintaining services and applications using relevant programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
Ensuring code quality through rigorous unit testing, integration testing, and participation in code reviews.
Collaborating closely with Functional Consultants, Architects, and other development team members to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Providing technical expertise and support for deployed SAP BTP solutions, including troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
Staying current with the latest developments and features of the SAP BTP and related technologies.
Requirments
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software development and experience with the SAP ecosystem:
Proven experience in developing and deploying applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
Strong programming skills in at least one relevant language (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python).
Experience with cloud application development concepts, including microservices, REST APIs, and database technologies (e.g., SAP HANA).
Familiarity with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and/or modern front-end development using SAP UI5/Fiori.
Understanding of SAP integration technologies (e.g., OData services, SAP Integration Suite/CPI).
Experience with DevOps practices and tools within the SAP BTP landscape (e.g., CI/CD, Git).
Ability to work effectively in an English-speaking environment and communicate complex technical information clearly.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Self-starter attitude with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to high-quality delivery.
