Our Client is a forward-thinking, technology-driven organisation focused on delivering high-performance digital solutions. They are currently seeking to expand their engineering capabilities by hiring an experienced IT Senior System Engineer to take ownership of their hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Resposibilities
Cloud Architecture Management: Take full ownership of the administration, maintenance, and continuous optimization of the organization's hybrid Azure Cloud environment.
Virtualization & VDI: Manage enterprise-grade virtualization platforms and oversee the administration and support of Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDI) to ensure high availability and user satisfaction.
System Administration: Perform comprehensive administration of Windows Server systems, ensuring operational stability and performance.
Security Implementation: Design and implement robust security measures to strengthen the resilience of both server and cloud environments against emerging threats.
Technical Support: Provide expert 2nd-level support for complex infrastructure issues, acting as an escalation point for technical challenges.
Project Leadership: Actively participate in IT infrastructure initiatives, taking responsibility for technical sub-projects and driving implementation tasks from conception to deployment.
Requirments
Education: A completed degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable technical qualification/training.
Experience: Several years of hands-on professional experience managing hybrid Azure Cloud environments is essential.
Technical Expertise: profound knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem (Windows Server), PowerShell scripting, and enterprise virtualisation technologies.
Security Focus: Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining IT security best practices for server and cloud systems.
DevOps Mindset: Experience with DevOps methodologies or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools is considered a significant advantage.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and a high level of initiative. The ability to work resiliently under pressure and collaborate effectively within a team is required.
Availability: Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation schedule (approximately 20%)
